Hi there, I'm Christine. I'm A fibre artist and crafter.
Although I've lived in Scotland for around 13 years, I grew up in Yorkshire (which has a rich history with wool.)
So you could say my love for wool is in my DNA.
I've always tried to have a fantastic imagination and used to throw myself into the different worlds that are found in many books.
I was especially captivated folklore and fairy tales and spent many a hour engrossed in them. This comes through in some of my 3D work creating when my fairies, mermaids and other cute characters.
The other thing I have always enjoyed is being outside walking, camping and enjoying the beautiful countryside we have in this part of the world, with my boyfriend and dogs.
If you ever come to visit us at our studio shop you will meet Pixie who I will introduce you to later on.
I love to use wool to recreate the stunning Scottish scenery, wild Yorkshire dales or my favorite time of year, which is spring when you see the lambs in the fields and the flowers coming into bloom.
I also teach classes and workshops, give demonstrations and talks on felting work and fibre arts.
I work closely with a large group of our local crafters, artists and producers of artisan products that promote handcrafted items that can be seen in our studio shop.
We exhibit all over the South West of Scotland and can be found at several major events in our region throughout the year.
